King Kumpir – Potaé
The Challenge
Potaé, a fast food franchise specialising in Turkish street snacks like kumpir and falafel, was ready to evolve from local hero to international player. The challenge: create a globally appealing brand identity and retail design without losing their Mediterranean roots.
Strategy & Design Approach
We started by rebranding King Kumpir to Potaé — a name with international allure. From there, we developed a comprehensive brand strategy covering logo, visual identity, packaging design, and retail experience. The approach blended street food energy with Mediterranean hospitality, aligned with global fast casual dining trends.

Visual Identity
The logo captures the contrast between slow-baked craftsmanship and fast-paced mashing, creating a bold, streetwise look. In-store design celebrates this dynamic with dedicated podia for cast iron ovens. A vibrant, warm colour palette combined with rich materials creates a seamless flow between on-the-go convenience and cosy dine-in spaces. The food styling and visual language were designed to maximise appetite appeal across menus, packaging, and communications.
Results
Potaé now stands as a distinctive, scalable fast casual brand with a unique packaging and retail design system. The elevated brand identity positions them strongly for international expansion, with clear visual and experiential consistency across every customer touchpoint.
