PLUS – Chocolade
The Challenge
PLUS Supermarket wanted to expand its chocolate offering beyond the standard range with a premium, trend-driven line that balances indulgence with sustainability. The goal: create shelf impact and tell a meaningful story to appeal to conscious yet pleasure-seeking consumers.
Strategic & Design Approach
We built on the ‘Goed Verhaal’ (Good Story) concept to differentiate this premium line. The strategy combined contemporary packaging design with storytelling around fairtrade sourcing and ethical production, tapping into consumer demand for transparency and sustainability.
Visual Identity
The design is expressive and bold, using complementary colours and the iconic diamond chocolate shape to create a visually tempting product. Playful on the outside, each wrapper unfolds to reveal the brand’s sustainable mission and connection to cocoa farmers in Ghana—bridging style with substance.
Results
PLUS gained a distinctive, premium chocolate line with strong shelf visibility and an engaging brand story. The design elevated the retail experience, appealing to trend-conscious shoppers while reinforcing PLUS’s fairtrade commitment through both packaging and product storytelling.
